One point though - I believe in The Golden Rule - "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".

I find this principle valid from the perspective that most people want to be treated nicely and with respect. So, if you want the same, treat others well and with respect.

Agreed that different people thrive well under different circumstances and have different expectations, but no one wants to be treated badly.
