Well written Hannah. Trust, collaboration and offering flexibility are some of the great ways to show that you care for your people.
Whenever I think of trust, I refer to what Simon Sinek wrote in his book Start with Why. It’s so relevant here:
“Trust is not a checklist. Fulfilling all your responsibilities does not create trust. Trust is a feeling, not a rational experience. Trust begins to emerge when we have a sense that another person is driven by things other than their own self-gain”
